Pdf Summary
This document comprises a notice of retraction and several corrections to previously published articles in the journal "CHEST."

Firstly, the article "Mechanical Ventilation as a Therapeutic Tool to Reduce ARDS Incidence," published in December 2015, has been retracted. The retraction is due to the authors' failure to disclose significant conflicts of interest, which could potentially affect the study’s interpretations or recommendations, according to the Journal's policies.

Secondly, a correction has been made to the article "Antithrombotic Therapy for VTE Disease: CHEST Guideline and Expert Panel Report," specifically to the grading error found in Recommendation 3. The correct grading should read "LMWH over VKA therapy (Grade 2B)." This correction has been updated in the online version of the article.

Lastly, data errors have been corrected in "The Presence of Diffuse Alveolar Damage on Open Lung Biopsy Is Associated With Mortality in Patients With Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis." Corrections include specific figures about the number of patients, deaths, male patients, and age references. Although these updated figures result in minor statistical adjustments, they do not alter the study's primary conclusion that ARDS associated with diffuse alveolar damage (DAD) carries a higher mortality risk than ARDS without DAD. The article's online version has been updated to reflect these changes.

These corrections ensure the accuracy of the findings presented and maintain the integrity of the research published in the journal.
