Pdf Summary
A corrigendum has been issued for the original research article titled "A Tool to Assess Participation in People With COPD: Validation of the Late Life Disability Instrument" by O'Hoski et al., originally published in the January 2021 issue of CHEST (159[1]:138-146). The corrections address erroneous reporting of certain statistical values and limitation domain scores that were originally published.

The primary corrections involve adjustments to the test-retest reliability data of the Late Life Disability Instrument (LLDI). Incorrect intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC2,k) were initially reported, which affected the calculated standard error of measurement (SEM) and the minimal detectable change at 95% confidence (MDC95) values.

The revised content specifies that the frequency and limitation domains of the LLDI now exhibit test-retest reliability with an ICC of 0.81 and 0.85, respectively, with corresponding SEMs of 2.40 and 3.56 points. Additionally, the corrected MDC95 values are 6.65 points for the frequency domain and 9.88 points for the limitation domain. These values are significant for interpreting changes in the LLDI scores for individuals with COPD.

Further, the discussion section now notes that overall test-retest reliability was good except for the management subscale of the limitation domain, highlighting the corrected MDC95 values for clearer interpretation of the study results.

The authors express regret for these errors, which have been rectified in the online version of the article. The related article's DOI is provided for reference: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.chest.2020.08.2079.
