Stephanie, I have an idea, and you can take this for what it's worth. It's a little laundry list-like. The following thing, so I wonder if you could sort of focus it around this patient. This patient has A, B, and C, all of which are characteristic of AUIP, as opposed to saying there are nine things, this patient, this is what it makes it look like this. That diagnosis, and same thing, bronchoscopy doesn't show this, so it's not that, and it doesn't show that because it's not that, and it's just a little bit more focused on the case itself, and that would shorten it a little bit. Stephanie, don't we kind of end up with AIP because we don't know what else it could be? Yeah, you get this by ruling out those other three common things, so really a lot of this stems on what you see on the BAL. Yeah. Well, that, but also, I mean, the history, I mean, had there been vaping, because, I mean, vape lung is not exclusively eosinophilic pneumonia, it's a whole range of different pathologies, at least so far published that I've seen, and so therefore, I mean, you're careful to say there was no vaping, but had there been vaping, this probably would be classified as... Valid, yeah. Yeah. Valid. Yeah. So, it's a funny thing, but I mean, I guess it stands on its own, because by history in the BAL, you sort of certainly make that the most likely diagnosis. I mean, I would put hydrostatic pulmonary edema rather than just pulmonary edema. Okay. Yes. And there's got to be a coronavirus hidden in the air somewhere. Well, that's why we kept testing with times two and then on the lavage too. Yeah. Only two? I thought it took like six to rule it out nowadays. You couldn't just do it with two. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Video Summary
In this video, Stephanie and another person are discussing a patient's medical case. They suggest focusing on the patient's specific symptoms to diagnose Acute Unilateral Interstitial Pneumonia (AUIP) rather than listing multiple symptoms. They also mention that bronchoscopy and history of vaping should be considered in the diagnosis. They discuss the importance of ruling out other common conditions and mention hydrostatic pulmonary edema as a possible alternative diagnosis. The conversation briefly touches on coronavirus testing. The discussion revolves around how the patient's symptoms and test results lead to the most likely diagnosis. The conversation ends with a reference to the number of coronavirus tests needed to rule it out. No explicit credits were granted.
