Goals

  • Provide a self-assessment program for practicing specialists in pulmonary, critical care, sleep, and pediatric pulmonary medicine designed to reinforce training and experience, disseminate new knowledge in the fields, and identify areas of strength and weaknesses within specific areas of disease and/or procedural knowledge.
  • Assist the practicing specialist and physician-in-training in preparing for certification and recertification examinations sponsored by the medical specialty board.

2. Apply research findings and recommended guidlines to diagnosis and treatment of patients.
3. Differentiate between proper and improper management of patient cases.
4. Using scientific research and recommendations, identify solutions to real-world clinical problems.
